Igbo Children's Cartoon (TV Show Production)

Tax deductible
This campaign is going towards the making of Season 2 of Mmuta Di Uto. With the success of this campaign we will be releasing our 2nd season of the children's animated series with all-new songs, animation and puppetry.

Even in America, this young toddler is enjoying singing the Igbo Alphabet with Maazi Agu.

Maazi Agu is a friendly leopard who loves to sing, dance, and play with his animal friends in the Igbo jungle. Every episode, Maazi Agu and his friends explore different topics like counting, colors, and shapes, as well as important life skills like sharing, caring, and being kind to one another.

Together, they go on exciting adventures, sing catchy songs, and learn valuable lessons that help them grow and develop as individuals. With his big heart and infectious smile, Maazi Agu teaches children the importance of teamwork, friendship, and self-confidence in a fun and engaging way that kids of all ages will love.

Episode One Of "Mmuta Di Uto" (With English Subtitles)

Mmuta Di Uto (which means "Learning is Sweet" in Igbo) is a children's television show starring a loveable leopard named "Maazi Agu." He teaches children academic lessons in a fun way and also lessons about kindness, their environment and community from an Igbo perspective.

This show is not only great for Igbo-speaking children, but the repetitive songs encourage learning no matter what the child's first language. Toddlers in America have been shown to enjoy singing along to the Igbo alphabet song as well. Therefore, it is great for parents in the diaspora interested in raising bilingual children!

Our goal is to put this show on television in Nigeria. But we need your help to make Season 2 a reality! We have a plan to produce 20 brand-new episodes, including high-quality animation, music and storytelling.

With your contributions, we intend to improve with:
  • all new songs
  • new puppet characters
  • longer episodes
  • animations
  • a bigger team
  • marketing
  • higher production quality

We aim to produce a show worthy of submission to network television and/or streaming services. So that Igbo children can enjoy quality television shows in their ancestral/native language.

We currently have a youtube channel where you can watch Season One on YouTube here.

Gifts For Donors
We want to show our gratitude to our donors. So, we came up with some gift ideas to show how thankful we are for your support. We want to serve the community. So, we want to give you something while you wait for Season 2 to be complete. Feel free to give whatever you can and however much you can. These donation ranges are just so we can afford to show you our appreciation.*

$1-$150: If you donate $150 or less, you will receive a 'Thank you' message from us.
$150-$500: If you donate $150 or more, you will receive Maazi Agu stickers for your children.
$500-$2500: If you donate in this range, you will receive a Maazi Agu notebook.
$2500-$10,000: If you donate more than $2500, you will receive a Maazi Agu gift box to include a t-shirt as well as the previous other prizes.
Donations over $10,000 will receive gift boxes and "Producer" credits on the show.

If we reach our fundraising goal, we will make Maazi Agu stuffed dolls, and top donors will get the dolls added to their gift boxes.

Fundraising goals
Up until now, we have used our own pocket money for over a year to produce these epsiodes. Now, with our bigger vision of a show that includes animation, songs and more, we are forced to call on our friends, fans and well-wishers to help us fund this next season.

If you believe in our mission and believe African kids deserve the right to enjoy educational entertainment in their native language, I hope you will donate to this cause.

*'Thank you' gifts will not be sent immediately. So, please be patient. The gifts would be sent after the first fundraising milestone is met, and after this fundraising project's process is completed.

If you are in a position to donate, we would be very grateful if you did. If you are not, please share the link with friends and family whether or not they are in a position to donate, because I believe strongly in the power of this project. I hope to inspire other African cultures to do similar works by showing them that I am doing it against all odds.

I appreciate your support, and even if you cannot donate financially, just sharing this fundraiser is a GREAT way to help!
